Indian Independence Day

I was down in Balluwalla, a village an hour from Dehradun and three hours from the village for the weekend with my supervisor. They run a school in their home and we had a flag raising ceremony at 8am along with the whole nation.

I love uniformed school children.

They had games and races afterwards, and I was asked to hand out the prizes. My reward was a perfect ‘thank you, ma’am’ from each one.
